Everything I Love About The Carpenter Hotel in Austin, TX

While there are dozens upon dozens of boutique hotels in downtown Austin, there’s none like The Carpenter Hotel. While a newer addition to Austin, built in 2018, this hotel has always held a special place in my heart. It’s also one of my favorite venues to photograph in Austin!

I’m also excited to share with you one of my favorite weddings, where they got ready at The Carpenter Hotel!

About The Carpenter Hotel

Nestled in South Austin, in the midst of a pecan grove, The Carpenter Hotel was built with nature in mind. When you step into the property, you immediately feel a sense of calm.

On the first floor, it has a really pretty coffee bar, with some of the tastiest bean juice you can imagine. It also has a great pool, that you can even purchase a day-pass for. They also have local-made tacos and pastries, perfect for a slow morning.

Visiting Austin for the first time? The Carpenter Hotel is a hop, skip, and a jump away from Zilker Park and Barton Springs.

And since the hotel is pet-friendly, your pup will love the pretty jaunt!

Events At The Carpenter Hotel

The hotel is great for small weddings, even micro-weddings. It can also host corporate meetings inside the conference room. It has some beautiful, idyllic charm that I absolutely adore!

Here is a quick rundown of the spaces.

The Q-Hut

The Quonset Hut is such a cute and unique event space. Called The Q-Hut, it’s both a covered space and wooden deck, with touches of nature all throughout.

It offers 700 square feet of indoor space and 500 square feet of outdoor space. Perfect for a small event!

The Conference Room

Doing a corporate retreat and need to have a quick meeting with the team?

The conference room is a cozy 400-square-foot space, able to seat up to 14 guests. Early meeting? The hotel can also provide catering!

The Pool

Who doesn’t want an epic pool party? Your friends can lounge on chairs or wade in the cute pool.

The 1500 square foot space is attached to the pool bar, making it easy to toast to the great day you’re having.

Carpenters Hall

Great for rehearsal dinner or a fun shindig with employees, Carpenters Hall offers delicious food for your event. They pride themselves on their food.

Their menu has yummy options like pancakes, oyster mushrooms, chowder, and roast chicken.
